Paris (France), 10 June (LaPresse/AP) – ‘In international waters, we were illegally attacked and kidnapped by Israel and taken against our will to Israel, where we were arrested. Some of us have been repatriated, others are still there.’ This was stated by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg upon her arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris after her expulsion from Israel. Thunberg, 22, was with 11 other activists aboard the Freedom Flotilla Coalition's Madleen, which was bound for Gaza with humanitarian aid and was blocked and seized yesterday by Israel. The activists were detained by Israel and, after the boat was taken to the Israeli port of Ashdod, they were taken to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for repatriation. ‘There is a lot of uncertainty because it has been quite chaotic,’ Thunberg said, describing the situation during her detention as ‘quite chaotic and uncertain.’
