Milan, June 10 (LaPresse) – Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has left Israel, from which she was expelled, and is currently on a flight to Sweden. This was reported by her legal team, according to Swedish media. Thunberg, 22, a global icon of the climate protest movement, was aboard the vessel Madleen of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, along with 11 other activists, heading to Gaza with humanitarian aid. The boat was intercepted and seized by Israeli authorities yesterday. The activists were detained, and after the vessel was brought to the Israeli port of Ashdod, they were taken to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for deportation, according to the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
