Deir al-Balah (Gaza Strip), June 11 (LaPresse/AP) – The Gaza Health Ministry has reported that over 55,000 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, which has now lasted 20 months. The ministry does not differentiate between civilians and combatants, but stated that more than half of the victims are women and children. According to Gaza authorities, the death toll stands at 55,104, with 127,394 injured. Many more victims may still be buried under the rubble or located in areas inaccessible to local medical personnel.
