Los Angeles (California, USA), 11 June (LaPresse/AP) – Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has announced the imposition of a curfew, effective from 8 p.m. local time on Tuesday (i.e. about an hour ago) until 6 a.m. local time on Wednesday (i.e. 3 p.m. Italian time). At the press conference where she announced the decision, Bass said it was aimed at “stopping vandalism, stopping looting”. The curfew will be in effect in a 2.59-square-kilometre area of the city centre, including the area where protests against US President Donald Trump's immigration policy have been taking place since Friday.
