Milan, 11 June (LaPresse) – Los Angeles police have reported the start of “mass arrests” following the imposition of a curfew in certain areas of the city centre where protests against US President Donald Trump's immigration policy have been taking place since Friday. 'Several groups continue to gather on 1st Street between Spring and Alameda. We are responding to these groups and mass arrests are underway,‘ police said, stressing that ’the curfew is in effect." Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced the imposition of a curfew from 8 p.m. local time on Tuesday to 6 a.m. local time on Wednesday (3 p.m. Italian time).
