Rome, June 12 (LaPresse) – Marco Peronaci, currently Italy’s Permanent Representative to NATO, is expected to be appointed as the new Italian ambassador to Washington, according to reports. The appointment could come as early as the Council of Ministers meeting scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Palazzo Chigi, or shortly thereafter. Peronaci will succeed Mariangela Zappia.
