Rome, 14 June (LaPresse) – The IDF spokesperson announced that, during air strikes at the start of the operation against Iran, nine scientists and high-level experts who were working on the plan to obtain nuclear weapons were killed. ‘The attack was made possible thanks to accurate information gathered by intelligence,’ it was reported, as reported by Ynet. Among the high-level scientists involved in Iran's nuclear project who were eliminated are: Fereydoun Abbasi, nuclear engineering expert; Mohammad Mehdi Taranchi, physics expert; Akbar Matalizadeh, chemical engineering expert; Saeed Barji, materials engineering expert; Amir Hassan Fakhi, physics expert; Abd al-Hamid Minouchehr, nuclear physics expert; Mansour Asgari, physics expert; Ahmad Rida Zoelfakri Dariani, nuclear engineering expert; and Ali Boukai Katrimi, mechanics expert. ‘Their elimination is a significant blow to the Iranian regime's ability to obtain weapons of mass destruction,’ the Israeli army said.
