Brussels, 16 June (LaPresse) – ‘In light of the seriousness of the situation in the Middle East, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas has called a meeting of EU foreign ministers for tomorrow via video link.’ This was announced by the spokesperson for the EU External Action Service, Anouar El Anouni, in his daily press briefing. "The meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange views, coordinate diplomatic activity in both Tel Aviv and Tehran, and define possible next steps, demonstrating the EU's strong commitment to regional security and de-escalation, and will continue to contribute to all diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and finding a lasting solution to the Iranian nuclear issue, which can only be achieved through a negotiated agreement," the spokesperson stressed.
