New York, June 16 (LaPresse) – Iran has indicated its willingness to end hostilities and resume talks on its nuclear program, sending messages to Israel and the United States through Arab intermediaries. This was reported by Middle Eastern and European officials, according to the Wall Street Journal. Amid a fierce Israeli air campaign, the American newspaper’s website states that Tehran told Arab officials it is willing to return to the negotiating table provided the United States does not join the attack, as the officials report. The message conveyed to Israel is that it is in the interest of both parties to contain the violence.
