New York, June 16 (LaPresse) – The Trump Organization has announced the launch of a mobile phone company, ‘Trump Mobile,’ despite ethical concerns that the President of the United States could influence public policy for personal gain.
The goal is to compete with major U.S. telecom operators like AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. The announcement was made by Donald Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.
Eric stated that the new company will manufacture its own phones in the United States and will also operate a call center domestically.
“Much of our work… has focused on technology for people who haven’t been properly served — whether it’s crypto or other areas — but one sector where we’ve seen consistently disappointing performance has been mobile telecommunications,” said Donald Trump Jr. at Trump Tower in New York.
“With Trump Mobile, we’ll introduce a complete package of products people can access: telemedicine on their phone with a fixed monthly fee, roadside assistance, and unlimited messaging to 100 countries worldwide,” Trump Jr. added.
