Milan, June 26 (LaPresse) – Israel has suspended aid deliveries to Gaza, according to Israeli TV Channel 12, citing an Israeli official. The report comes shortly after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced that he had ordered the army to present, within two days, a plan to prevent Hamas from diverting humanitarian aid. According to the source, the suspension will remain in effect until the IDF submits its plan. The Israeli official cited by Channel 12 said the Prime Minister’s statement was issued after Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich threatened to resign from the government unless immediate action was taken to stop aid from reaching Hamas.
