Budapest, June 28 (LaPresse) – "Today you have made Budapest the capital of Europe." This is what the mayor of Budapest, Gergely Karacsony, said in his speech at the Pride parade in the Hungarian capital. According to the organizers, over 100,000 people were present at the Budapest Pride. However, city authorities estimate the number of demonstrators at at least 200,000.
