Milan, 1 July (LaPresse) – Due to the heatwave affecting much of France, the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris will remain closed until Wednesday inclusive. This was announced by the monument's operators on their official website. Visitors to the Eiffel Tower without tickets have also been asked to postpone their visit. "Due to the current heatwave, the Eiffel Tower is taking certain measures to ensure the comfort and safety of our visitors and staff: the top will be closed on 30 June, 1 and 2 July for the whole day. Access to the 2nd and 1st floors remains possible. If you have booked a visit on these dates, please remember to protect yourself from the sun and stay hydrated,' reads the Parisian monument's website, adding: 'Long queues are expected at the ticket offices, even in the evening. We invite all visitors without tickets to postpone their visit until Thursday. Visitors with tickets for the top: please check your email, you will be automatically refunded for any services not used (access to the top, guided tours),' it continues.
