Milan, July 3 (LaPresse) – The families of hostages Maxim Herkin and Bar Kuperstein have authorized the media to publish a short clip of a propaganda video released by Hamas in April. According to the Times of Israel, the 44-second clip, shared by the Hostage Families Forum, is part of a longer video calling for a global ceasefire agreement rather than another cycle of partial and staggered hostage releases. The video begins with footage of U.S. President Donald Trump stating that the United States "wants to bring back the hostages," before showing the hostages themselves. In the footage, Herkin and Kuperstein sit against a wall. Herkin, with one bandaged hand, says they are "walking dead men." "We don't feel like human beings," he states. In a shorter second clip, Kuperstein simply says, "Please," seemingly appealing for his release. "The video aims to amplify the cry of the hostages’ families and the hostages themselves, in the face of the possibility of a partial agreement, cruel selections," says the Hostage Families Forum in a statement accompanying the footage. "Families are demanding a global agreement ensuring the return of all hostages. This is the right and moral act, which does not require separating brothers and the immoral choice of one hostage over another," the group adds.
