Rome, 4 July (LaPresse) – During today's phone call, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump agreed to ‘a meeting between their respective teams’. The Kiev leader announced this on X, where he reported on the phone conversation. ‘We had an in-depth conversation about the capabilities of the defence industry and joint production,’ Zelensky said. ‘We are ready for direct projects with the United States and believe that this is of fundamental importance for security, especially when it comes to drones and related technologies.’ ‘We also addressed the issue of mutual procurement and investment. Finally, we exchanged views on the diplomatic situation and joint work with the United States and other partners,’ the Kiev leader concluded.
