Milan, July 5 (LaPresse) – Italian national Thomas D’Alba has died in Ukraine while fighting alongside Kyiv’s military. The news was shared by Ukrainian creator and activist Vladislav Maistrouk, who had met D’Alba and remembered him in a Facebook post as “a professional, he had already served in the Italian army, in the Folgore. He left the military to follow his passion and become a music teacher.” “Then the war in Ukraine started, and Thomas couldn’t stand by,” Maistrouk wrote. “We met in Kyiv.” According to Avvenire, the 40-year-old from Legnano died around mid-June. D’Alba is the seventh Italian to be killed while fighting in Ukraine.
