Rome, July 12 (LaPresse) – Following a meeting with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced “changes” in state institutions, particularly regarding the improvement of relations with the United States and new steps in defense management. “Ukraine needs more positive dynamics in its relations with the United States and, at the same time, new steps are needed in the management of our state's defense sector. Decisions on this will be made public in the near future,” Zelensky said on Telegram. According to reports in the Ukrainian media in recent days, Umerov himself could be appointed as Kiev's new ambassador to Washington.
