Rome, 16 July (LaPresse/AP) – A man has been executed in Florida for killing two people outside a bar. It is the 26th execution in the United States this year. The man convicted of shooting two people to death outside a Florida bar in 1993 in an attempted revenge killing has been executed. Authorities say Michael Bernard Bell, 54, was pronounced dead on Tuesday evening after a lethal injection at Florida State Prison near Starke. Bell was sentenced to death in 1995 for the murders of Jimmy West and Tamecka Smith. He was the 26th person executed in the United States since the beginning of the year, surpassing last year's total, and the eighth person executed in Florida. A ninth is scheduled for later this month.
