Damascus, July 20 (LaPresse) – Fighting has ceased in the province of Sweida, in southern Syria. This was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Syrian Ministry of the Interior.

Yesterday, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa announced an "immediate and complete" ceasefire in the Druze-majority province of Sweida, where, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, around 940 people have been killed in the past week.
