Rome, 20 July (LaPresse) – The death toll from clashes and executions in Syria since Sunday 13 July has risen to 1,017, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The victims include: 440 people from the province of Al-Suwaidaa, including 104 civilians, six children and 16 women; 361 members of the Ministry of Defence and General Security Forces, including 18 members of Bedouin tribes and one armed person of Lebanese nationality; 15 members of the Ministries of Defence and Interior killed in Israeli air strikes: 3 people, including one woman and two unidentified persons, killed in an Israeli air strike on the Ministry of Defence building; one journalist killed during clashes in Al-Suwaidaa; 194 people, including 28 women, 8 children and an elderly man, executed by armed men affiliated with the Ministries of Defence and Interior; 3 members of Bedouin tribes, including a woman and a child, executed by Druze militants.
