Dhaka (Bangladesh), 21 July (LaPresse/AP) – The death toll from the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training jet in Dhaka has risen to 19. The aircraft crashed into a school campus, according to reports from firefighters and civil protection authorities, who emphasised that most of the victims were students and that 116 people were injured, many of them with burns. The pilot was among the dead. The Chinese-made F-7 BGI aircraft crashed into the Milestone School and College campus in the Uttara district while students were attending classes, according to the army and a fire department official. The army said the jet took off at 1:06 p.m. local time and crashed shortly afterwards, bursting into flames.
