Milan, 23 July (LaPresse) – The Church of the Holy Family in Gaza City, the only Catholic church in the Strip, was accidentally hit on Thursday. This is according to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), reporting on the findings of an investigation completed last night by its Southern Command. The Times of Israel reports that the internal investigation found that the church was hit as a result of an ‘unintentional deviation of ammunition,’ according to the IDF. According to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, three people were killed and several others were injured in the attack, including Father Gabriel Romanelli.
