Turin, July 24 (LaPresse) – "Tomorrow I will hold an emergency call with our E3 partners, France and Germany, during which we will discuss urgent actions to stop the killings and ensure people get the food they so desperately need, while we coordinate all necessary steps toward building lasting peace. We all agree on the urgent need for Israel to change course and allow immediate humanitarian aid into Gaza," said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
"The suffering and starvation unfolding in Gaza are unspeakable and indefensible. While the situation has long been severe, it has reached new depths and continues to deteriorate. We are witnessing a humanitarian catastrophe," he stated. "It is difficult to see a hopeful future in such dark times. But I must reiterate my appeal to all parties to engage in good faith and urgently reach an immediate ceasefire, and for Hamas to unconditionally release all hostages. We strongly support the efforts of the United States, Qatar, and Egypt to achieve this goal," he continued.
"We firmly believe that statehood is an inalienable right of the Palestinian people. A ceasefire will put us on the path toward recognizing a Palestinian state and achieving a two-state solution that ensures peace and security for both Palestinians and Israelis," Starmer concluded.
