Berlin (Germany), July 25 (LaPresse) – “The federal government remains convinced that only a negotiated two-state solution will bring lasting peace and security for both Israelis and Palestinians. It continues to view the recognition of a Palestinian state as one of the final steps toward achieving such a solution. The security of Israel is of fundamental importance to the federal government. Therefore, it does not plan to recognize a Palestinian state in the near future,” said government spokesperson Stefan Kornelius in a statement.
