Madrid (Spain), July 28 (LaPresse) – Judge Paloma Poveda Bernal of Ibiza’s Investigative Court No. 2 has today authorized the repatriation of the body of Michele Luca Noschese, the 35-year-old Italian DJ known as DJ Godzi, who died last Saturday on the Spanish island after being restrained by Civil Guard officers.
According to the ruling seen by LaPresse, the judge has authorized the body’s transfer to Naples, subject to verification of all health, administrative, and consular requirements mandated by law, in order to proceed with cremation in Italy. The body will be released to the family through the relevant funeral services, once the required documentation is verified.
The prosecutor’s office did not object to the repatriation, noting in the preliminary autopsy report that "there are no medico-legal impediments to burial, cremation, transfer or any other legally permitted disposition" following the necessary samples and analyses.
The repatriation request was submitted by the legal representatives of the DJ’s father, Giuseppe Noschese, to allow for his son’s cremation. The body is currently under judicial custody.
