Milan, 1 August (LaPresse) – The agreement between the US and the European Union on tariffs reached in Scotland in recent days has been confirmed. The executive order signed by US President Donald Trump includes the EU with tariffs of 15% effective from 7 August. Tariffs on Canada rise from 25% to 35% “in response to Ottawa's continued inaction and retaliation”. Switzerland is also punished with a higher tariff than that announced on 2 April, at 39%. The tycoon also announced a 90-day negotiation period with Mexico.
