Milan, Aug 2 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Newsmax that if a peace agreement in Ukraine is not reached, "we will impose sanctions even though he (Russian President Vladimir Putin) is quite good with sanctions, he knows how to avoid them." The new deadline set by Trump for Russia to negotiate a ceasefire with Ukraine is August 8. During the interview, Trump was asked if his opinion of Russian President Vladimir Putin had changed in recent months. “He is obviously a tough guy, so in that sense it hasn't changed," Trump replied, "but I am surprised. We had numerous positive conversations where we could have ended this situation, and suddenly the bombings started.”
