London (UK), Aug. 3 (LaPresse/AP) – A man has died after falling during last night’s Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium in London. The Metropolitan Police reported that officers and paramedics responded to reports of an injured person shortly before 10:30 p.m. local time (11:30 p.m. in Italy). A man in his 40s was found “with injuries consistent with a fall” and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or recorded it on their phone to contact authorities. In a statement, Oasis said they were “shocked and saddened by the tragic death of a fan during last night’s concert,” and extended their “sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.” Wembley Stadium management confirmed that tonight’s concert will go ahead as scheduled.
