Washington (USA), Aug 6 (LaPresse) – “I am proud to be the only President (with the possible exception of the late and great George Washington) to donate my salary. My first ‘check’ went to the White House Historical Association as we carry out much-needed renovations of the beautiful ‘People’s House’,” wrote Donald Trump in a post on Truth. He highlighted that “major improvements and beautifications are underway at the White House, at levels never seen since its original creation.” During his first term, Trump had also donated his presidential salary of $400,000 annually.
