Rome, August 7 (LaPresse) – At least 98 Palestinians, including 51 people who were trying to access humanitarian aid, were killed and 603 wounded in Israeli attacks across Gaza in the past 24 hours, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry, which is controlled by Hamas. The news was reported by Al Jazeera.
The toll includes four people who died of starvation in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of hunger-related deaths to 197, including 96 children. Two bodies were recovered from the rubble of previous Israeli strikes.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed a total of 61,258 Palestinians and injured 152,045 since October 7, 2023, the ministry added. The total number of people killed while trying to access aid since May 27 has reached 1,706, with more than 12,030 wounded.
