Milan, August 9 (LaPresse) – Italy has conducted its first parachute drop of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The Defense Ministry announced the takeoff of the Air Force’s C-130J, marking the start of the second phase of the humanitarian initiative "Solidarity Path Operation," an Italian Defense mission creating an air bridge between Jordan and the Gaza Strip. The first air drop was carried out today by Italian military aircraft loaded with essential supplies destined for the most isolated and hard-to-reach areas of Gaza. The entire operation was planned by the Defense Staff and coordinated by the Joint Operations Command (COVI), working closely with the Jordanian Royal Air Force and with joint efforts from the Italian Army and Air Force.
