Madrid (Spain), 12 August (LaPresse) – Nearly a thousand soldiers from the Emergency Unit (UME) are currently engaged in Spain in operations to extinguish forest fires that have broken out in various regions of the country. The news was reported by the UME itself. In particular, the military has been deployed to deal with six fires, including one in Tres Cantos, near Madrid, and one in Yeres, in the province of Leon, which has affected the Las Médulas natural area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
