Madrid (Spain), 14 August (LaPresse) – Over 8,000 people have been evacuated in Spain due to the fires that have been ravaging the country for days. This was stated by Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska in an interview with Spanish public television channel Tve. ‘The number of people evacuated is difficult to quantify precisely because it varies greatly, but we are talking about thousands of people, over 8,000,’ he said. Of greatest concern is the situation of the fires in Castile and Leon and Galicia, particularly in the province of Ourense.
