Turin, Aug. 14 (LaPresse) – Germany and Turkey have joined the wave of condemnations against Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s plan to expand settlements in Palestinian territories, effectively splitting the West Bank in two. Germany has officially called on Israel to halt the construction of the settlements, while Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed that “Ankara condemns the plan to expand the E1 settlements, a decision that completely disregards international law.”
