Turin, 20 August (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and shared with him his assessment of the Russia-US summit in Alaska. This was reported by the Kremlin press service, quoted by Interfax. "The leaders discussed the latest developments in Ukraine. The Russian side noted with satisfaction the assistance provided by Turkey in facilitating the negotiations between representatives of Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul,‘ the statement said. ’They also touched upon some current issues on the bilateral agenda, including the further development of trade and investment relations," it added.
