Turin, 22 August (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he expects relations between Russia and the United States to be fully restored. This was reported by Tass. ‘I sincerely hope that the first steps taken are only the beginning of a complete restoration of our relations,’ the president said. At the same time, Putin stressed that this does not depend on Russia. ‘It depends first and foremost on our Western partners in the broadest sense, because the United States is also bound by certain obligations within various organisations, including the North Atlantic bloc,’ the Kremlin chief explained. ‘But I am confident that the leadership qualities of the current President Trump are a good guarantee that relations will be restored,’ Putin added.
