Rome, 24 August. (LaPresse) – A Ukrainian drone was shot down overnight near the Kursk nuclear power plant in Russia. This was reported by the nuclear power plant administration, quoted by Meduza, explaining that “when it fell, the device exploded, damaging the transformer that powered it”. A fire broke out due to debris falling near the nuclear power plant. It was extinguished but caused 50% of unit 3 of the plant to be shut down, the nuclear power plant reported. There were no casualties and the level of radioactivity in the plant remained unchanged.
