Washington, August 25 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump, responding to a journalist who asked whether he had spoken again with Vladimir Putin since last Monday, confirmed he had.

"Yes," he said. "Every conversation I have with him is a good conversation." He added: "But then, unfortunately, a bomb is dropped on Kyiv or somewhere else, and I get very angry." Still, he concluded, "I think we’ll manage to end the war."

"The fact that Putin came to Alaska, to our country, I think was an important statement, showing his willingness to resolve the issue. It wasn’t easy for him to come to Alaska — you understand, to come here. But the fact that he showed up was a great success. It was a very positive day for other reasons too, because, as you know, we’re also talking about missiles, about nuclear weapons — we’re talking about many different things," Trump added.
