Milan, Sept 2 (LaPresse) – French President Emmanuel Macron, meeting today at the Élysée with Prime Minister François Bayrou and the leaders of allied parties—Gabriel Attal (Renaissance), Édouard Philippe (Horizons), and Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau (LR)—asked them to cooperate with Socialist Party (PS) deputies ahead of the confidence vote scheduled for September 8. He ruled out negotiations with La France Insoumise (LFI) and Rassemblement National (RN). According to FranceInfo, Macron reminded the coalition leaders of their “duty of responsibility and stability” and urged them to “stay united” and “set an example,” supporting the Prime Minister and opposing the dissolution of Parliament.
