Milan, 3 September (LaPresse) – ‘Today, humanity is once again faced with the choice between peace or war, between dialogue or confrontation.’ This was stated by Chinese President Xi Jinping as he opened the military parade in Beijing to commemorate the 80th anniversary of China's victory in World War II. ‘The Chinese people firmly stand on the right side of history and the progress of human civilisation,’ Xi added, ‘adhering to the path of peaceful development and working side by side with the peoples of all countries to build a community with a shared future for humanity.’ This was reported by the Xinhua news agency.
