London (UK), Sept 7 (LaPresse) – Over 400 protesters have been arrested by police in London in front of Parliament, where around 1,500 people gathered, according to organizers, to defy the ban imposed on the group 'Palestine Action,' which the government has labeled a terrorist organization. The demonstration was organized by the group 'Defend Our Juries.'

Police began arresting protesters within minutes, while passersby chanted against the officers. Scotland Yard stated that expressing support for a banned organization is a crime under terrorism law. Over 700 people have been arrested in previous protests, with 138 charged. The group is challenging the ban in court.

Eight hours after the protest began, police reported having arrested more than 425 people, over 25 of whom were charged with assaulting officers or public order offenses, and the rest under the Terrorism Act.

There were scuffles during the demonstration. Protesters sat on the ground holding signs reading "I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action." Minutes later, police began arresting them while passersby shouted "Shame on you" and "Met Police, choose which side you’re on, justice or genocide."
