Kyiv, Sept. 7 (LaPresse) – After last night’s Russian attack on several Ukrainian cities, President Volodymyr Zelensky again urges the West to act.
“These killings now, when real diplomacy could have already been launched a long time ago, are a deliberate crime and a prolongation of the war,” he wrote on X. “In Washington, it has been repeatedly stated that sanctions will follow a refusal to negotiate. We must implement everything that was agreed upon in Paris. We also count on the implementation of all agreements to strengthen our air defense. Every additional system saves civilians from these vile attacks.”
“The world,” he said, “can force the Kremlin’s criminals to stop the killings: all it takes is political will. I thank everyone who is helping.”

"Over 800 drones and 13 missiles, including 4 ballistic ones," Zelensky wrote, reporting on the scale of the massive overnight raid, adding that “according to preliminary information, several drones crossed the border between Ukraine and Belarus.”

“In Kyiv, ordinary residential buildings were destroyed. In one of them, the floors between the fourth and eighth collapsed. So far, two people have been killed, including a child,” he added, offering condolences to their loved ones.

Furthermore, “the building of the Council of Ministers was damaged: a fire broke out on the upper floors. More than 20 houses and a kindergarten were damaged in Zaporizhia. Warehouses were destroyed in Kryvyj Rih, one person died in Safonivka, in the Sumy region, and another in the Chernihiv region. A residential high-rise was hit in Odessa.”
