Turin, Sept. 10 (LaPresse) – The Polish army has announced the conclusion of military operations after intercepting Russian drones that entered Poland’s airspace. “Air Force operations related to violations of Polish airspace are now concluded,” the statement reads. “The drones that posed a direct threat have been shot down. This is likely a large-scale provocation. We are in constant contact with our allies,” said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk during an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers, according to Rzeczpospolita.
"This is the first time drones have been shot down over the territory of a NATO country. No casualties have been reported,” he added. “It is essential that in times of such great challenge, all institutions act in unison. We are well-prepared to repel such provocations. This first test has been passed. The plans prepared for such an event are working. There is no reason to panic,” he stressed.
