Milan, Sept. 21 (LaPresse/AP) – The creation of a Palestinian state “will not happen,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an angry statement following the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia’s announcement of unilateral recognition of the Palestinian state ahead of the UN General Assembly. Netanyahu accused foreign leaders of giving a “reward” to Hamas. “It will not happen,” Netanyahu said, “a Palestinian state will not be established west of the Jordan River.” Netanyahu stated that Israel’s response will be announced after his trip to the United States next week, where he will meet President Donald Trump at the White House.
