Milan, 24 September (LaPresse) – There is no ceasefire in Ukraine because ‘Russia refuses it’. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his speech to the UN General Assembly. 'If a country wants peace, it must still work on weapons' and “it is not international law or cooperation but weapons that decide who survives”, added the Kiev leader, who stressed: “International law does not work” and there are no guarantees of security 'unless you have powerful friends, and even that does not work without weapons. It's terrible, but without them it would be even worse,‘ Zelensky continued, stressing that ’it is not Ukraine's choice‘ because ’knowing our peaceful people, they would have chosen otherwise,‘ but ’they want to live in their own independent country."
