Washington (USA), Oct. 6 (LaPresse) – Federal Judge Karin Immergut has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deploying National Guard units in Oregon, including those from California. California and Oregon had requested the temporary restraining order after the president sent California Guard members into Oregon on Sunday. On Saturday, the same judge had already blocked the deployment of Oregon’s National Guard to Portland. Immergut, a Trump appointee during his first term, issued the second, broader order Sunday evening after rebuking the federal government’s attorney and questioning how sending troops from California and Texas to Oregon was not “in direct conflict with yesterday’s order.”
