Rafah, Oct. 14 (LaPresse) – Israel has decided not to reopen the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt tomorrow, as was stipulated in the ceasefire agreement, sanctioning Hamas for failing to fulfill its commitment to return the bodies of all deceased hostages still held in the Strip.

In addition, it will reduce the amount of humanitarian aid entering Gaza as part of sanctions against the militant group.

The Times of Israel reports that these measures follow assessments by Israeli defense officials indicating that Hamas has made no significant efforts to return the remaining bodies of the hostages.
