Parchman (Mississippi, USA), Oct. 16 (LaPresse) – A Mississippi man, Charles Crawford, convicted of kidnapping, rape, and murder of a 20-year-old college student, was executed Wednesday evening at the Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman, Crawford, 59, received lethal injection after spending over 30 years on death row, he was also convicted of raping a 17-year-old girl and hitting a friend with a hammer, his execution was the second in the state of Mississippi in 2025 after that of Gerald Jordan in June, the longest-serving death row inmate in the state.
