Washington (USA), Oct. 16 (LaPresse) – Dozens of journalists turned in their access badges and left the Pentagon rather than accept the restrictions on their work imposed by the new rules pushed by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, news outlets were nearly unanimous in rejecting the new regulations which would have exposed journalists to the risk of expulsion if they tried to report on information, classified or not, without Hegseth’s approval, many journalists waited together at 4 p.m. yesterday, the deadline set by the Department of Defense to leave the building, among the outlets refusing to comply with the new rules were Fox News and Newsmax, which are not generally hostile to the Trump Administration.
