Washington (USA), Oct. 21 (LaPresse) – The Trump administration has stated that “there are no plans” for an imminent meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Hungary. The Washington Post reports that the statement came just hours after Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed out a deep divide between Moscow and Washington over ending the war in Ukraine. “Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Lavrov had a productive call,” said a White House official. “Therefore, a further in-person meeting between the Secretary and the Foreign Minister is not necessary, and there are no plans for an immediate meeting between President Trump and President Putin,” the official added.
